Mini Must Haves: Newborn to 3 Months

With so many of my dear friends & family becoming mommas,
I thought I would start sharing some of my favorite baby items I like to call "Mini Must Haves"!

Some of these are absolute musts.
Some of these are nice-to-haves.
And some of these are just because anything tiny is just plain adorable.

Here are my favorites for newborn to three months!

1. Aden & Anais Swaddle Blankets - These blankets are a dream! They are thin enough for me to feel like they are safe for baby and they are breathable even on the warmest nights. Not to mention they are soooo snuggly soft! My E still uses one of these as her blankie!

2. Trumpette Socks - How could you not want your newborn baby to wear bows on their toes?! These socks were E's signature look as a newborn. But there is more to these than meets the eye... Not only are they cute, but they actually STAY. ON. Yes, they stay on even the tiniest little feet. That is worth the extra money to me!

3. Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack - My hubby bought me one of these for my first Mother's Day when I was pregnant with E and I cannot say enough good things about it. I love how it can be a backpack, clip onto your stroller, or can be worth as a traditional crossbody. My favorite feature is the diaper changing pad that folds right out from the front. This has saved us from laying E on MANY nasty surfaces! It is detachable and can be washed easily too! This is the only diaper bag I will ever use!

4. Fisher Price Rock N Play Sleeper - Ok now the other things I have discussed are cute and fun and all this, but ya'll... this is the main event. E slept through the night basically since birth and I owe it all to the glorified Rock N Play sleeper. Her first few nights home we tried the bassinet & the crib, but she just did not like all the open space. On her third night, we purchased this out of desperation for something to help and she immediately slept a long stretch. While I can't guarantee sleep, I can guarantee that your little one will feel comfy and cozy in this sleeper! I love how it is slightly elevated too, which I think helped E's little tummy a lot. Can't say enough about how much all you new mommas need this!

5. Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Milk Feeding Bib - These were the only bibs I could use with E where milk wouldn't pool around the neck of her onesie! They have a thick collar around the top of the bib which prevents milk from getting in those little neck rolls. They washed up so easily and I love that they are gender neutral (which is hard to find!) These saved us from many outfit changes and are also very soft on baby's sensitive skin.

I hope you all enjoyed this post!
I plan to share not only mini must haves,
but momma must haves as well!

Enjoy your Wednesday friends! Halfway to the weekend!

Xoxo

Emersyn's 17 & 18 Month Update

Before I update you all on E's last couple months of life,
I wanted to announce the NEW look of my blog!

I am so thrilled to finally have an awesome new look thanks to a few small touches & a fab header created by Danielle Burkleo

I will be adding even more newness to my page over the next couple weeks so keep your eye out for that!

Ok, back to my little lady!
The past two months have been full of crazy but also full of fun! Here are several highlights:

Age: 18 months

Stats: Had her well check today! 25.65 lbs (84%) and 32 in tall (55%)!

Favorite Foods: This girl loves berries, teddy grahams, bananas, all veggies, macaroni and cheese, goldfish crackers, waffles, cheese, and raisins.

Words:

Sooo many new ones the past few months! Lots of 2 word phrases now. Some of my favorites are "bless you!" & "love you!" She has also learned how to identify lots of animals (ducky, bunny, puppy). She knows the names of most of her favorite Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters and she knows how to say "blankey".  She can also introduce herself- she says "HI! I'm Emme!" and it is AH-dorable. I feel like she has a new word or phrase every day!

Activities: We have been regulars at our favorite local indoor playground Good Times Park  and at the mall play areas. We are just trying to get out now that the weather is warmer and less bundling is required for us to leave the house :)

Favorite Things: E loves her books & her baby dolls. She has also LOVED building with her MegaBlocks and playing with her Mickey Mouse puzzle. She likes to go down slides and play with balls. She is a very active little lady!

Signature Moves: Introducing herself to everyone wherever we go, showing mama where anybody's eyes/ears are (sometimes a little too aggressively ;)), and sneaking into her bathroom & climbing up on her step stool.

Mom's Proudest Moment: Watching Em learn some 2-word phrases, seeing her use her utensils really well when she eats, teaching her how to bring me any sort of trash/crumb on the floor instead of eating it (ha!)

Dad's Proudest Moment: He loves that E will FINALLY sit and watch a movie/show and snuggle with him. Daddy loves his Emme snuggle time!

Hopefully with my new blog look, I will be more motivated to blog frequently! ;)
The past couple months were full of fun & adventure so I will be back tracking for a few posts soon, especially our vacation to Disneyworld this past January!

Enjoy your week, friends!
